What is the “Sounds of Marketing”?
“Sounds of Marketing” is an Internet based podcast (radio program) that is produced and distributed across the Internet on a bi-monthly basis. The Sounds of Marketing podcasts include tips, trends and tools for entrepreneurs and marketers across the world.
What Is A Podcast?
In its most basic form, a podcast is prerecorded audio that can be listened to on any computer or downloaded to any MP3 player/media player, not just Ipods! Part of podcasting’s explosive success can be attributed to RSS (real simple syndication). This is a file that contains information about each show and disseminates the data to a central application on your computer called an aggregator. RSS will also communicate to many podcast directory sites (many of which are ranked in the top 5% for ALL podcasts), enabling the “Sounds of Marketing” show to be accessed by thousands of websites. In simple terms, if a listener likes the podcast, they can choose to subscribe, meaning that the instant a new show is posted online, it will be automatically sent to the individual’s computer or media device.
